1)The Kite Runner, a novel about betrayal, guilt and redemption?

I read The Kite Runner about a year ago, thought was quite good, but far from great. Even at the time I though it very suitable for a film as it reminded me a lot of a script - it didn't have much depth beyond the story itself so would be easy to reproduce on stage or in front of a camera. I didn't feel tempted to see the film yet as I doubt it can offer a different perspective. Should see it some time though...
