Don't you think boxing belts should look more glamorous?

Larry Holmes used to call the wbc belt a "150 dollar chunk of plastic". I remember long ago the USBA/I (precursor to the IBF) was going to issue championship rings instead of belts, but it never happened. anyway, to answer your question, the bigger, brighter and more ridiculous looking the belt is, the better! makes it more crazy and fun! i was a big pro wrestling fan as a child and a wrestler named nick bockwinkle had the AWA title and the belt was so big it covered half of his chest. outrageous!
